John Flynn Private Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Patient Service Assistants (PSAs) to join our supportive team. In this rewarding role, you will provide personalised care to our elderly patients, including those living with dementia, and work alongside our skilled clinicians to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

We are particularly interested in candidates with aged care or nursing home experience who are passionate about transitioning into an acute hospital environment.

In this role, you will:

• Provide personal care and assist with patient mobility.
• Offer companionship and cognitive engagement for patients with dementia.
• Support safe patient transport and manual handling.
• Clean and prepare beds, rooms, and equipment.
• Restock supplies to maintain smooth ward operations.

What you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (or equivalent).
• Aged care, nursing home, or dementia care experience highly regarded.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of infection control and safe manual handling practices.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster (particularly afternoons, nights, and weekends).

Remuneration: An hourly rate ranging from $29.47 – $31.40 per hour + superannuation + penalties, based on experience and qualifications (QLD Support Services Level 3).

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
