Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead with purpose? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation team as a P3 Clinical Lead.
  • You will be providing clinical support as Occupational Therapist Clinical Lead in the Inpatient Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation setting at Joondalup Health Campus. 
  • You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our occupational therapy service, and your clinical support will be key to delivering outstanding care to our patients.
 
 
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist with demonstrated advanced clinical skills in acute/ subacute stroke and neurological rehabilitation, to provide evidence-based assessments and interventions aligned with best practice guidelines. The successful candidate will provide oversight and leadership to the OT Stroke team and drive service development in inpatient stroke rehabilitation. This role requires a strong understanding of the stroke rehabilitation model of care together with excellent organisational and leadership skills. 
 
 
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with minimum 3 years proven senior experience in stroke rehabilitation, preferably in an acute setting. Your capacity to lead and mentor a team, along with your ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with patients, staff and stakeholders is essential. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who thrives in a team environment and is committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values.
 
To be successful in this role you will need to address the following selection criteria:
 
  1. Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice in stroke and neurological rehabilitation.
  2. Demonstrated ability to identify clinically appropriate interventions within this clinical speciality and implement evidence-based practice into service development.  
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the multidisciplinary team, service providers, external agencies, patients, families and caregivers.
  4. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to identify, initiate and lead quality improvement activities and service development. 
Desirable:
  • Post-graduate qualification in stroke or neurological rehabilitation 
  • Knowledge and experience in NDIS processes
