Join a passionate team of healthcare professionals and take on a key leadership role in our 32-bed Cardiothoracic Unit. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to optimise resources, ensure best-practice care delivery, and mentor a team of nurses and clinical support staff.
This is an ideal part-time opportunity (Parental Leave Contract) for a senior nurse to expand their leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing and clinical support staff.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and problem-solving within your specialty.
- Assist in planning and implementing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, risk management, and infection control compliance.
Skills and Experience
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in specialty.
- High-level clinical competence and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in mentoring, training, and developing staff.
- Strong knowledge of quality and infection control processes.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.

Requirements
