The Opportunity
Ramsay Health Care is currently seeking a Director of Facilities to provide strategic and operational leadership across its Australian network. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer – Australia, this role drives excellence in facilities management, asset performance, property, and capital delivery. The Director will lead key national initiatives, including the implementation of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), oversight of BioMed assets, and the CSSD master plan. With responsibility for sustainability and energy strategy, this role ensures Ramsay remains a leader in safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible healthcare operations.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the implementation of a national Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to drive efficiency, consistency, and transparency.
- Oversee asset, property, and leasing management to ensure optimal utilisation, compliance, and long-term value across all sites.
- Manage the maintenance and lifecycle planning of BioMed assets and other critical infrastructure to support safe, reliable operations.
- Deliver capital projects that achieve high-quality outcomes, are completed on time and on budget, and maximise return on investment.
- Champion sustainability and energy initiatives, aligning facility operations with Ramsay’s environmental and net-zero objectives.
- Establish and track key performance metrics to maintain excellence in safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders, external providers, and hospital leadership teams to enhance performance.
- Provide strategic direction for the CSSD master plan, ensuring national consistency, operational efficiency, and future readiness.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, facilities management, business, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of Australian healthcare facilities, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability practices.
- Proven senior leadership experience within the healthcare or facilities management sector.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic planning capability.
