Join our dynamic National Safety Team as the Regional Rehabilitation and Return to Work Manager for our Gold Coast facilities – Pindara group and John Flynn Private Hospitals. This is a permanent fulltime role based on the Gold Coast QLD.
This role will see you identify and facilitate injury management activities to assist injured workers with their rehabilitation, optimising recovery outcomes and reducing the impact of injury on the individuals and workplace.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including adept listing and negotiation abilities. Your strong understanding of and experience in applying customer focused injury management, controls assurance, quality management principles and continuous improvement methodology will see you thrive in this role.
Essential
• Accreditation, training or significant experience in workplace injury management and rehabilitation
• Demonstrated ability and experience in managing and coordinating the rehabilitation and return to work of injured and ill workers
• Ability to coordinate rehabilitation activities with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of contemporary, evidence based, workplace rehabilitation and injury management practices
• Experience in managing workers’ compensation matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (listening and negotiation)
• Organisation and time management skills
• Computer literacy, particularly with programs supported by Microsoft Office
• Understanding of and experience in applying customer focused injury management, controls assurance, quality management principles and continuous improvement methodology
Desirable
• A tertiary qualification or degree within a health-related discipline
• Previous experience within the health care sector
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation legislation, in particular the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) – (Comcare Scheme)
