About The Role
Masada and The Avenue Private Hospital are seeking a permanent, Full-Time maintenance
technician to perform basic repair works and maintenance duties within our hospitals.
In this role, you will undertake all assigned maintenance duties, including work related to general
hospital maintenance, planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate maintenance
contractors, participate in an afterhours on call roster and ensure all maintenance duties and
responsibilities are kept up to date in our online management system.
This role would suit someone who is keen to learn and apply their learning on the job, as no
two days will ever be the same. All tools are provided on site, and you will be working with a
supportive network team, performing duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager
Your Skills and Experiences
- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on repairs/maintenance role
- Ability to complete both planned and responsive maintenance tasks
- An understanding of commercial air conditioning systems
- A willingness to work across trades within skill levels
- Ability to coordinate external contractors on site
- Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
- Sound level of computer literacy skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively
- Can do attitude and proactive communication skills
You will also have
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers, staff and
stakeholders. You will ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and work is carried out in a tidy safe manner. A willingness to seek information and ask questions
is also important.
Desirable
• Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing)
• Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
• Computer literacy and confidence in using digital systems for tracking and reporting
Remuneration
Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
