Ramsay Health Care SA is seeking an organised, customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Consulting Suites team at Kahlyn Day Centre. This role plays a key part in supporting our psychiatrists and patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who visits our clinic.
 
 
The Role
 
As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and clinicians.
 
 
You will:
  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage appointment bookings and patient records
  • Handle phone and email enquiries efficiently
  • Prepare medical documentation and reports
  • Process payments, billing, and daily banking
  • Provide general administrative support to doctors and the Administration Manager
You’ll be working in a friendly, supportive environment where teamwork and patient care come first.
 
 
About You
 
You’re approachable, reliable, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. You thrive in a busy setting and enjoy supporting others in a professional healthcare environment.
 
Experience in a medical receptionist role is beneficial, but not essential. What matters most is your positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. 
 
 
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Strong customer service skills and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes
  • Intermediate level of computer skills within the Microsoft suite of products
 
Desirable Skills and Experience 
  • Previous health or medical services experience
  • Previous experience in a medical administrative / reception position
  • Experience with medical practice management software (preferably Genie)
 
Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
