About the Role
Pindara Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Cardiac Medical Ward as a Clinical Nurse Educator. In this pivotal role, you will lead the education, training, and competency programs within the department, ensuring our team delivers safe, evidence-based, and high-quality cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a clinical expert and resource for staff across all aspects of cardiac nursing.
- Provide ongoing education, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Develop and facilitate training sessions, learning activities, and competency assessments.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager on staff appraisals, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Foster a positive and professional learning culture while maintaining strong relationships with medical and multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum three years of post-graduate experience in cardiac nursing.
- Proven ability to interpret and analyse ECGs.
- Experience in nursing education and staff development (highly desirable).
- Postgraduate qualifications in critical care or cardiovascular nursing (preferred).
You are a confident and approachable educator who is passionate about sharing knowledge, supporting team growth, and promoting excellence in patient-centred care.
Remuneration: Base hourly rate of $54.72 – $58.82 plus superannuation, dependent on experience and qualifications (exclusive of penalties or allowances).
