About the Role

As we progress towards completion of the $190 million private expansion in early 2026, Joondalup Health Campus is growing our dedicated admissions team. We are seeking motivated and customer-focused Private Admission Officers to support our private patient services.

In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will provide high-quality support through a mix of patient interaction and administrative responsibilities. You will be a welcoming first point of contact for our private patients while applying strong organisational, financial, and problem-solving skills.

Working both autonomously and collaboratively with our wider hospital teams, you will contribute directly to a positive and seamless private patient journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Ensure accuracy of patient details and maintain up-to-date electronic records.
• Manage private patient admissions and pre-admissions using relevant hospital systems.
• Liaise with patients, health funds, and insurers regarding private health cover and entitlements.
• Complete eligibility checks and prepare Informed Financial Consent forms.
• Process payments and maintain confidentiality in line with hospital policies.
• Answer and direct telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Support a collaborative, dynamic working environment and manage tasks independently as needed.

Selection Criteria

Essential

• Commitment to the Ramsay Way core values and delivering exceptional patient service.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards of accuracy.
• Confident computer skills, including competence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
• Ability to work both independently and as a supportive team member.

Desirable

• Experience in hospital, medical, or customer service administration.
• Knowledge of private health insurance and medical billing processes.
• Familiarity with patient administration systems such as Meditech.

Renumeration: On offer is a base rate ranging from $34.47 - $38.42 + superannuation, based on qualifications and experience (RHC WA PACT EA).

Requirements

• Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
