About the Role
Ramsay Health Care is seeking a fulltime Clinical Trials Coordinator to join a growing and dynamic Clinical Trials & Research Unit at Wollongong Private Hospital. The successful individual will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of clinical trials and patient facing activities within the hospital, supporting the ongoing growth and development of the research unit. The Clinical Trials & Research Unit supports a range of clinical trials & research projects across several disciplines, including oncology, gastroenterology, neurology and cardiology, with the expectation that the unit will continue to expand and support other clinical disciplines within the Hospital.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
• Nursing, Allied Health or Science / Research Qualification
• Prior experience in clinical trials or clinical research projects with demonstrated understanding of the day to day operational requirements to support clinical trials & research projects that are both sponsored and investigator initiated.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials methodology and knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership ability working in a multidisciplinary health care team.
• Demonstrable commitment to high professional standards in all aspects of work.
• Excellent communication, time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise activities
• Ability to develop rapport with patients and their families in stressful situations.
Desirable
• Experience in the development and cultivation of relationships with Clinical Trial Sponsors
• Computer software, informatics, data collection and/or media skills.
• Understanding of ethics and governance in clinical research.
• Understanding of importance of confidentiality and data integrity.
