The Opportunity
The Theatre department at Pindara Private Hospital offers an extensive range of surgical services across 16 fully equipped operating theatres.
Joining the leadership team as the NUM, you will be taking on a pivotal role within the unit working closely with the Anaesthetic NUM and the Theatre ANUM to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources. Together, you will drive excellence in care delivery, in line with policies and procedures and best practice.
This role as well as the Anaesthetic, CCL, Endoscopy and PACU NUM reports directly to the Director of Clinical services.
You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff so this role will suit a collaborative, people-focused leader who thrives on helping others succeed.
About You
To succeed you will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor. You will bring strong clinical skillset in perioperative services and have the ability to manage and organise your time effectively.
You will also demonstrate the following:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum (5) years theatre experience
- Management /leadership experience essential
- Effective skills in rostering to achieve man hour, agency and skill mix targets
- Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities and risk minimisation
- Demonstrated high level of clinical competence in area of speciality
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach others
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members and VMO’s to promote a positive culture.
- Post graduate perioperative qualification is desirable
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $68.14 - $73.73 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (QLD NUM/MUM Level 1-4)

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
