The Opportunity

We are seeking a CSSD Technician to join our friendly team. In this role you will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and medical equipment for varying clinical departments. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process which will see you working within your team to meet the needs of the peri-op team.

Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will work within an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment in a timely manner
• You will be within various allocated areas in the department.
• You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.
• Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the CSSD activities.
• Ensure compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
• Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
• Collaborate with Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.

About You

• Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services.
• Your positive outlook will enable you to collaborate effectively with our team and independently as required.
• You will be customer service oriented in both internal and external settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
• Exceptional organisational skills

Remuneration:

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $32.36 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

• Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
