The Opportunity
Peninsula Private Hospital is looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Coder to join our coding team. We are looking for someone with a commitment to high quality coded data, expanding services, an increasingly diverse case mix, auditing and training opportunities. With our recently introduced digitised medical record system, we are embracing innovation and offering flexible work-from-home options to our team. You will also be supported by an extensive support network of Health Information Managers, Clinical coders, Clinical Documentation Specialists and educators.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Clinical Coding qualifications from Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent Approved Program, or Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
- Sound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 13th edition, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards 13th Edition
- Previous auditing experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with the Solventum Codefinder
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, patient management systems and digitised medical record solutions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of DRG and activity-based funding
- Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time to meet deadlines
- A passion for accurate data and continuous improvement
Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
