The Opportunity
This newly created role and part of a growing team will lead the design and implementation of Ramsay Orthopaedics’ national service line strategy. Reporting into the GM, Service Development, the Service Line Director will shape how Orthopaedic services are delivered across Ramsay Australia, improving patient and doctor experience while driving growth and service excellence. You will identify innovative opportunities, oversee key strategic projects, and build strong partnerships across the organisation and beyond - ensuring Ramsay Orthopaedics remains clinically strong, commercially sustainable and future-ready.
What You Will Bring
You will bring senior experience in complex healthcare, proven leadership of large programs delivered through influence rather than authority, a strategic and innovative mindset, and strong communication and stakeholder skills - along with a solid understanding of private Orthopaedics services and the confidence to operate in dynamic, evolving environments.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the national Orthopaedics service line strategy and value proposition.
- Design and oversee the roadmap for delivering comprehensive Orthopaedics services nationwide.
- Identify innovative service opportunities and new models of care with clinical and operational leaders.
- Drive the implementation of priority projects and manage change effectively across the network.
- Support hospitals to benchmark against national guidelines and continuously share best practice.
- Build strong relationships with doctors, encouraging involvement in service development.
- Represent and advocate for Ramsay Orthopaedics internally and externally, strengthening awareness and partnerships.
Skills & Education
- Experience working in complex healthcare environments (private sector expertise highly regarded).
- Demonstrated program leadership and strategic problem-solving capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes across large programs of work.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Awareness of clinical trends and developments in Orthopaedics, internationally and in Australia.
