About the role:
As a Duty Nurse Manager, you will hold a key leadership and management role within the Hospital and is responsible for the efficient and effective day to day coordination of all human and material resources. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices and processes across the clinical services
The role requires working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery whilst ensuring maintenance of clinical standards and quality care. This role will work closely with the Executive team to shape organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic and operational objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have
Essential
- Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Minimum of five years relevant post registration nursing experience preferably in an acute care setting
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a Nurse Unit Manager or similar nursing leadership role
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills including effective analytical and problem-solving strategies
- Proven ability to work effectively in team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrated ability be an effective leader and coordinator
- Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities of hospital/ clinical services departments Proven ability to prioritise daily workload according to organisational need
- Ability to perform under pressure.
Desirable
- Possession of or significant progression towards the attainment of a post graduate qualification.
