About the role
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills to lead a dedicated team as the Nurse Unit Manager. This role requires a high calibre candidate with considerable oncology and haematology nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to higher learning. This highly rewarding role reports to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services. The role requires working with and supporting nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. The oncology unit comprises of 24 oncology/haematology/palliative care beds.
Your Key Skills and Experience
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 3 years management or team leading experience
• Oncology and haematology knowledge and expertise
• Professional and highly motivated with a passion for enhancing staff engagement.
• Competent in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff to achieve outcomes
• Effective management of rostering processes and allocation of duties for all clinical staff
• Ability to maintain effective communication networks with doctors, patients, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders
• Post graduate qualifications or working towards is desirable.
Remuneration
Salary commensurate with experience
