The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll partner closely with both sites, with travel between hospitals as required, and the option to spend time at our Melbourne Head Office. There’s flexibility in where you’re based day to day, allowing you to work across locations while staying well connected to the broader Ramsay team.

 

What You Will Bring

As an experienced HR professional, you’ll work in close partnership with hospital leaders to deliver trusted, practical HR advice and support across the full range of people and employment matters. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping positive outcomes for leaders, teams, and the broader organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert industrial and employee relations advice, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, agreements, and policies, and proactively minimising industrial risk.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders on people matters, building capability through guidance, feedback, and development.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of People strategies aligned to site and organisational priorities.
  • Leading workplace investigations and managing complex cases, providing clear recommendations and support.
  • Supporting and delivering HR strategic plans and objectives in line with enterprise agreements and legislative requirements.
  • Driving cultural change and engagement initiatives tailored to the needs of each site.
  • Participating in local, state, or national projects as required.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working closely with leaders in a dynamic healthcare environment.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a field-based HR partnering role, operating confidently in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations and complex case management, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance resolution.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels through clear, effective communication.
  • Experience supporting organisational development, change and culture initiatives, with the ability to contribute to broader people projects.
  • Relevant qualifications in HR or Industrial Relations (or equivalent experience), with alignment to The Ramsay Way; healthcare experience highly regarded.
