About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse (Senior Registered Nurse) to join our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory on a permanent part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Cath Lab nurse ready to step into a clinical leadership role while working in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
In this role, you will deliver high-level clinical care while supporting team performance, patient safety, and service excellence within a busy and specialised procedural setting.
Key Responsibilities
You will demonstrate advanced clinical capability across multiple roles in the Cath Lab, including:
- Scrub, Scout and Monitoring duties
- Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Pacemaker and device implantation
- Structural heart procedures
- Cardiac electrophysiology
- Interventional radiology and pain procedures
- Endovascular and open vascular procedures
You will also:
- Provide expert clinical assessment and evidence-based patient care
- Support clinical decision-making and workflow coordination
- Contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives
- Promote best practice standards and ongoing professional development
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
About You
You are a confident and experienced Cath Lab nurse with strong clinical leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
- Recent experience in a cardiac catheterisation laboratory
- Demonstrated clinical leadership capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualifications in cardiac or critical care nursing

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and an 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services.
