An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role

  • Manage a diverse caseload including orthopaedics, spinal surgery, medical/reconditioning, and neurology.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy across inpatient rehab, acute care and day rehabilitation settings.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining the ability to manage cases independently.
  • Support patients by assessing and addressing functional needs, equipment, and services in the hospital setting.
  • Opportunities to develop expertise in specialised areas, including oedema and lymphoedema management, neurological rehabilitation, and delirium and dementia care.

Skills and Experience

We seek highly motivated individuals passionate about customer focused care and who thrive working within a multidisciplinary team. You will have well developed clinical and communication skills with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience in a hospital setting
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment programs
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage caseload demands and work between clinical areas
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
  • Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practice

 

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate of $45.16-$62.81+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • A National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
