Accountant – FSC Pharmacy

The Opportunity
The Accountant will work within the Finance Centre Service team contributing to general maintenance of the Ramsay Health Care (RHC) Pharmacy monthly profit and loss recognition, balance sheet and account reconciliations.
This position will:
• Take a lead role in the preparation and reporting of monthly financial accounts and account reconciliations including use of analysis and reporting to maintain the integrity of data in the General Ledger to ensure that the business unit’s financial & operational objectives are met
• Have a strong focus on COGS recognition within the Pharmacy business unit initially with room for growth across the full P&L.
• Work with RHC Corporate Team to help ensure the business unit is “audit ready” and contribute to the half-year / year-end audit and statutory reporting

Your Essential Skills and Experience
• CA / CPA qualifications or equivalent
• Previous experience with a Big 4/mid-tier Chartered Accountancy firm, most likely in an audit function, or a large complex organisation
• Qualifications in Financial or Management Accounting disciplines
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret financial information and identity areas of concern
• Self-starter with ability to set own targets and complete tasks within a timely manner
• Ability to work across multiple platforms/data systems
• Advanced skills in Excel
Desirable:
• Exposure to SAP and TMI and/or similar accounting software
• Previous experience within the health care sector
• Experience of inventory costing in high volume environments
