Ramsay Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cyber Operations Manager to lead our Cybersecurity Operations team. This critical role will be instrumental in protecting our organisation's digital assets and ensuring the continuity of our vital healthcare services.
 
About the role:
 
As the Cyber Operations Manager, you will spearhead Ramsay Health Care’s Cybersecurity Operations. The role will report to the Deputy CISO and will manage a team of four people.
 
Your core responsibilities will include:
 
• Lead the cybersecurity operations team in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity operations playbooks, escalation procedures, and incident response plans.
• Oversee the integration and optimisation of SIEM, SOAR and threat intelligence platforms.
• Establish and maintain threat modelling practices (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA) to map attack paths, quantify business impact, and guide risk-based prioritisation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during major incidents.
• Provide regular reporting on cybersecurity operations metrics, threat trends, and operational performance.
• Manage the relationship with the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), ensuring quality, optimisation and alignment with internal processes.
• Coordinate Ramsay’s enterprise-wide security assessments such as Red Teaming ensuring a proper collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity operations capabilities through automation and training.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
• Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to align threat detection with enterprise risk posture.

You possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic environment.

Essential
 
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, including cybersecurity operations leadership.
- Strong understanding of SIEM, SOAR, UBA and CTI platforms, detection engineering, threat detection and incident response workflows.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor cybersecurity operations teams.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms, log analysis, and forensic investigations.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
- Familiarity with threat modelling and Continuous Threat Exposure Management frameworks (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA) and their application to enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of risk-based prioritisation, business impact assessment, and attack path analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to collaborate with IT, HR, legal, compliance, cyber insurance and executive teams.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
 
Desirable 
 
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent.
- Experience in healthcare or critical infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for cybersecurity operations efficiency.
- Knowledge of cloud, application, and identity security tools (e.g., Wiz, CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Threat Protection, SonarQube, AWS GuardDuty).
