We are seeking a driven Facilities Manager to provide leadership to our Maintenance Operations team across three hospital sites. This permanent, full‑time position offers strategic responsibility and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a complex healthcare setting
The Role
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all engineering and building maintenance activities to ensure that buildings, plant, and equipment are maintained to agreed standards and remain fully operational.
You will lead maintenance staff and contractors to ensure all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with legislative requirements, corporate policies, accreditation standards, and approved hospital budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing preventative and reactive maintenance programs
- Supervising internal staff and external contractors
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation, certification, and safety standards
- Managing resources and budgets effectively
- Supporting a customer‑focused service culture across hospital site
About You
You are a proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high‑quality customer service. You have demonstrated experience managing people, budgets, and contractors and can positively influence teams to achieve outcomes in a complex environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance
- Previous experience in a management / leadership role
- Proven experience in external contractor management, including negotiation of maintenance contracts
- Demonstrated understanding of accreditation / certification processes
- A willingness to work across trades areas within skill levels
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience using Asset Plus
- Previous experience in a hospital maintenance / facilities role

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
