The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive clinician who is ready to take the next step as a Clinical Nurse. This is an advanced level Registered Nurse role, acting as a clinical and professional resource in all facets of caring for the patient whilst problem solving within the clinical setting. The Clinical Nurse contributes to, and participates in, the education of all graduates and novice staff by being involved in department orientation, in-service and clinical programs. You will be a leader in our general wards and specialise in chronic medical management of patients liaising with Medical and allied health to optimise patient outcomes.
As a Clinical Nurse you will elevate patient care by leading by example and providing expert guidance in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your advanced clinical skills and compassionate approach will make a significant impact on patient outcomes. The flexibility to work a rotating roster including afternoon and evening shifts will be crucial to this role.
About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within an acute medical/surgical ward setting
- Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
- A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
- Post graduate qualification in specialty area desirable but not essential
Remuneration:
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $54.72 - $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4)
