Our Orthopaedic and Chronic Pain Ward is seeking enthusiastic, patient-focused Registered Nurses to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.

About the Role

You will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality care on our 41 bed Orthopaedic and Chronic Pain ward. This role offers exposure to a diverse patient cohort and the opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise in both surgical and pain management nursing.

Available positions:

• 1 x Rotating shift Registered Nurse (AM, PM, night duty)
• 1 x Permanent night duty Registered Nurse

About You

You are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to patient-centred care. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential criteria:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in a surgical setting

Desirable experience and skills:

• Orthopaedic nursing experience
• Pre- and post-operative orthopaedic care
• Neurovascular assessment and early recognition of complications
• Chronic pain assessment and multimodal pain management
• Safe opioid administration, including PCA management
• Wound care and surgical drain management
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
• Excellent time management and clinical decision-making ability

Remuneration: A base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).

Requirements
