What you’ll do
Join our team as a Dispensary Pharmacist, where you will play a key role in the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications within a hospital pharmacy setting. Working closely with a collaborative healthcare team, you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective medication management and dispensary operations.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the accurate dispensing and checking of prescriptions in line with hospital policies and legislative requirements.
• Maintain efficient dispensary workflow, prioritising patient safety and timely medication supply.
• Provide clear and professional counselling to patients on their medications when required.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and wider healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in stock control, ordering, and inventory management within the dispensary.
• Support quality use of medicines initiatives and maintain compliance with safety standards.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) with current registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated experience in a dispensary environment (hospital or community pharmacy)
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
• Proficiency in dispensing systems and pharmacy software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise in a fast-paced environment

Highly regarded:

• Previous hospital pharmacy or dispensary experience
• Experience with medication safety and quality use of medicines initiatives

Mandatory requirements

• Up-to-date vaccinations (as per the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) guidelines)
• Evidence of immunisation against infectious diseases
• National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
