Support a critical point of the patient’s journey as you coordinate highly skilled team to bridging the gap between ICU and General Medical services.
About the Role
As ANUM, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership, operational coordination and staff support across the HDU. You will lead by example on the floor, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care while supporting workforce management and quality outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced Nurse who either has management experience or is looking to take the next step into a key leadership position within an environment that provides a bridge between intensive/invasive care and general medical.

Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership within HDU
- Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive team culture
- Coordinate patient flow, staffing and resource allocation
- Act as shift lead and NUM delegate as required
- Promote clinical governance, safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Your Skills and Experience
- Critical Care certificate with significant experience.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Previous experience within an ANUM role (preferred).
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated leadership or ANUM/relief leadership experience
- Ability to lead under pressure and support staff in a high acuity setting
- Postgraduate critical care qualification (desirable)

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
- Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
