We have an excellent opportunity for you to join us in a full-time, entry-level graduate role at our Greenslopes Private Hospital. This facility is a leading surgical, medical, and obstetric centre located on the southside of Brisbane, approximately 5km from the CBD.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a WHS Officer, you will support the WHS Coordinator in driving WHS initiatives across the facility. You will collaborate closely with the National Safety Team and the facility Executive Team to cultivate a strong, proactive safety culture.

 

Key responsibilities include assisting with :

  • Embedding and maintaining the Ramsay safety management system, templates, and documentation.
  • Investigating incidents and implementing solutions to minimise future risks.
  • Conducting risk assessments, site audits, and workplace safety training.
  • Developing and maintaining effective safety practices.
  • Preparing safety performance reports for internal stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Bring:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS), with a minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS.
  • Aptitude: A demonstrated interest and foundational understanding of Work Health and Safety principles, ideally with some exposure to the health sector or large organisations through studies or work placements.
  • Communication: Excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with teams across all organisational levels.
  • Work Style: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Essential Skills: Strong foundational skills in planning, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Eligibility: Full Australian work rights, a current police check, and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases

 

What You’ll Be Paid:

This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the QLD Safety Manager.

Your base annual salary $70,000 plus superannuation. This rate is based on your qualifications and is exclusive of any penalties or allowances.
