Hospital Medical Officer | Casual opportunity

About the role:

In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical care as a Hospital Medical Officer, supporting patient management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, effective and timely medical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical assessment and care for hospitalised patients across surgical, medical, and rehabilitation wards
  • Conduct admission assessments and order appropriate investigations
  • Collaborate with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and allied health teams
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and initiate first-line management
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
  • Participate in clinical handovers and multidisciplinary team meetings

 

About you: Qualifications & Experience

  • General Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum PGY3+ clinical experience
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
