The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Ramsay Health Care’s mental health services, alongside day surgery, endoscopy, and ophthalmology at Ramsay Clinic Caloundra. As Director of Clinical Services / General Manager, you’ll have full accountability for clinical, operational, and cultural performance - shaping the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred mental health care. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, partner closely with clinicians, and work with executive leaders to drive exceptional outcomes, while supporting ongoing growth and service development. What You’ll Do
You will provide strategic and operational leadership for Ramsay Clinic Caloundra, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and workforce engagement. You’ll set direction, build capability, and foster a culture aligned to The Ramsay Way – People Caring for People. As a visible and trusted leader, you’ll champion continuous improvement, sustainable services, and exceptional patient experiences.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead clinical governance, accreditation, and quality frameworks to ensure safe, high-quality mental health care.
- Drive outstanding patient outcomes through oversight of inpatient and day programs.
- Oversee operational performance, including bed management, patient flow, workforce planning, and demand forecasting.
- Build, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams across nursing, allied health, and support services.
- Partner closely with Visiting Medical Officers to deliver collaborative, patient-centred care.
- Manage financial performance, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver operational and strategic goals.
- Champion workforce development, wellbeing, and engagement across the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, WHS, and organisational requirements.
What You’ll Bring
You are a compassionate healthcare leader with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead through complexity. You bring a strong understanding of the private healthcare environment and a deep commitment to patient safety, quality, and people development.
About your expertise:
- Senior leadership experience in private healthcare, ideally within mental health, day surgery, or complex clinical settings
- Strong clinical governance expertise with a proven track record in driving quality and safety outcomes
- Commercial and operational acumen, with the ability to balance patient care and performance outcomes
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the credibility to partner with clinicians and executives
- A genuine passion for continuous improvement, change leadership, and people development
Essential Qualification
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Ramsay Clinic Caloundra is a dedicated mental health and day surgery facility that has recently been refurbished to support the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care. The clinic provides a range of services for people experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, and related conditions, alongside day surgery, endoscopy, and procedural care in a modern, patient-focused environment. It offers both inpatient and day programs, underpinned by a holistic, person-centred approach. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and counsellors, working collaboratively to support recovery, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes.
