Are you an experienced Payroll Officer who thrives in complex, high-volume environments and takes pride in precision? Join our Perth Payroll team supporting WA doctors, where you’ll play a critical role delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced, detail-driven setting.
This role offers a unique blend of hands-on manual processing and the opportunity to be part of meaningful system and process improvements. You’ll be working within a payroll environment that operates with manual timesheets, requiring sharp attention to detail, strong interpretation skills, and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence.

What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for WA doctors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Interpret and apply complex award conditions, pay rules and coding requirements
- Accurately process high volumes of manual timesheets and payroll data
- Maintain and reconcile payroll records, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards and internal policies
- Prepare payroll reports and documentation
- Provide responsive, professional support to employees and stakeholders
- Work closely with HR, Finance and IT to support payroll operations and improvements
- Contribute to process optimisation, automation opportunities and system enhancements

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in complex, end-to-end payroll processing (Kronos, Chris21 and Workday all highly regarded)
- Strong expertise in award interpretation, payroll legislation and compliance
- High level accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with manual data entry
- Confidence interpreting, coding and processing varied and complex pay scenarios
- Experience working with manual timesheets and high-volume processing environments
- Tech-savvy mindset with a genuine interest in systems, automation and improvement
- Adaptability and openness to change, with a willingness to champion new ways of working
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder queries effectively
- Ability to prioritise and remain resilient in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
