About the Role

Joining our team as a Cook A Grade at Mt Wilga Private Hospital, you will be responsible for food preparation for patients, staff, cafeteria, and functions. You will also ensure food quality, maintain hygiene standards, and be part of a large, varied team.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Cold Larder Preparation and handling of food
  • Preparation & Cooking of meals
  • Understanding of patient dietary requirements
  • Ensuring a clean environment is maintained
  • Wash & clean downs of equipment
  • Daily completion of food and safety log sheets
  • Compliance with food safety & HACCP
  • Stock rotation

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Certificate in Commercial Cooking
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook
  • Ability to cater to a wide variety of sensitive dietary requirements
  • Must have a thorough understanding of allergy management practices
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse workplace
  • Previous healthcare setting experience will be highly regarded.

  

Remuneration

$31.00 per hour + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
