Mt Wilga Private Hospital is seeking motivated and positive team players to join our friendly Physiotherapy Service as a Casual NDIS/Outpatient Physiotherapist!

About the Role

As a NDIS/ Outpatient Physiotherapy, you will be responsible for facilitating the effective and efficient operation of the Physiotherapy department through both clinical and non-clinical duties. This will include assisting Physiotherapists in the treatment of participants, with the goals of achieving client-centred outcomes and improved functional capacity. Onsite work on Mondays and Fridays with occasional home visits.

Your role will involve but is not limited to:

  • This position involves working on-site and in the local community/home to deliver Physiotherapy assessments, intervention and reports to NDIS participants as well as rehabilitation services to our admitted patients.
  • Applying and maintaining a working knowledge of Physiotherapy policies and procedures relevant to the areas of work.
  • Undertaking non-treatment activities as required such as preparing and escorting patients for therapy, preparing equipment required for treatment, assisting the physiotherapist in joint therapy sessions, set up and dismantling of group therapy areas/equipment, data collection and entry.
  • Supervise the practice of established exercise programs, including walking, muscle strengthening, and reconditioning and balance exercises.
  • Maintaining all professional and safety standards when dealing with patients ensuring care is consistent with best possible quality care provision.

About You

The hospital is recruiting for casual physiotherapists to assist with NDIS/ Outpatient Physiotherapy. You will be providing high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for outpatients. We are looking for experienced Physiotherapists who thrive in working with a multidisciplinary team and will be committed to upholding and promoting the Ramsay Way core values.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
  • Experience with NDIS Physiotherapist support.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years clinical experience (preferred)
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Completion of online ‘NDIS Worker Orientation Module’ (or willingness to complete)
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated high level time management and ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/ caseload.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience in outpatient, aged care or NDIS experience.
  • Applicants must be flexible, team oriented and prepared to hit the ground running.

Some NDIS experience is desirable, but not necessary. Free on-site parking and access to professional development opportunities are available for the successful applicant.

Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $38.26 - $55.42 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances. (RHC NSW HPSS Level 1-2).

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
  • Current ‘NDIS Worker Screening Check’ (or willingness to obtain)
