The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Queries Officer to join our team. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to build your payroll knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a busy and supportive environment.
As the first point of contact for payroll queries from employees across the business, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver accurate, timely, and friendly support. Using our query management tool, Workday Help, you’ll work closely with payroll, HR, and finance teams to ensure issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and manage incoming payroll queries through Workday Help.
- Assess and action queries promptly, escalating where needed.
- Use payroll systems and learn how Enterprise Agreements apply in practice.
- Respond clearly and professionally to employees’ payroll-related questions.
- Collaborate with the Payroll, HR and Finance teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Keep up to date with relevant payroll policies and regulations.
- Support broader team projects and improvements as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Completion of high school or equivalent; studies in business, accounting or finance are a bonus.
- A basic understanding of payroll or a keen interest to learn more.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with care.
- A team player attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in administration or customer service is a must.
