We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health Team at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital in a permanent part time capacity. The position involves Speech Pathology management of adult acute medical and surgical inpatients, inpatient and day rehabilitation patients, and may also include opportunities to work in our new Ramsay Health Plus outpatient clinic.  Additionally, there is potential to work across multiple Ramsay sites including Greenslopes Private Hospital and Northwest Private Hospital.

 

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Approved degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility).
  • 2 + years post graduate clinical experience in an acute hospital setting, with experience in dysphagia management (essential).
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in Speech Pathology management of adult acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation patients.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisation and autonomous workload management skills.
  • Experience with tracheostomy and other complex cases is desirable.
  • Experience with LSVT Loud or SPEAKOUT! Highly regarded.

 

Hours can be flexible for the right applicant; however, it is a preference for Monday and Tuesday availability (10-15 hours per week). Availability for weekend on call shifts and holiday cover would also be highly regarded.

Requirements

Everyone who joins Ramsay:

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
