The Opportunity
We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic professional with a passion for exceptional customer service to join our diverse administration team. This casual role involves supporting administrative and clinical teams across the hospital—from front office and reception through to ward services.
Key duties include coordinating clerical tasks throughout a patient’s hospital journey, from admission to discharge, and providing prompt, courteous support to patients, relatives, and staff. Shifts range from 2 to 5 days per week (based on staffing needs), with potential to transition into a permanent part-time role.
Flexibility to cover occasional shifts at Nambour Selangor Hospital will also be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective management of incoming calls to the hospital
- Provide timely, accurate information to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Work closely with medical teams to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Perform and interpret Health Fund eligibility checks and collect payments;
- Perform patient admission and discharge processes efficiently;
- Compile and manage patient admission paperwork and clinical documentation.
Skills and Experience
You will be an approachable and proactive administrator who values patient care and customer service aligned with Ramsay’s core values.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Familiarity with Meditech or other patient data systems (desirable).
- Knowledge of Health Funds and patient eligibility (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
