About the role
Ramsay Clinic Rockhampton has a dedicated, multi-disciplinary patient care team to support our 20 bed Mental Health Ward. Ramsay Clinic Rockhampton is seeking experienced Psychologist to work in a direct role providing integrated psychological interventions to patients in both our inpatient ward, outpatient day program and within our new Ramsay Health Plus team. You will be responsible for delivery of comprehensive psychology services using evidence-based treatment strategies and participate in clinical decisions around treatment planning, assessment and risk management. You will also plan & facilitate mental health group programs for inpatient & outpatient day programs.
We are looking for a psychologist with interest and expertise in working with individuals who struggle with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and general life challenges. This position is part-time with a minimum 24 hours per week. We offer a flexible roster of 5 days, working between Monday-Saturday.
This position would be ideally suited to someone who has
- Current unrestricted registration with APHRA as a Psychologist
- Minimum 3-5 years’ post graduate experience
- A strong interest and experience working with adult mental health patients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with delivering psychological therapies at a clinical level
- Experience in a variety of evidence based therapies including, but not limited to DBT, CBT and ACT
- A high degree of personal and professional integrity, with a professional approach to managing patients
- Strong, collaborative interpersonal communication skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management ability with demonstrated ability to manage a caseload with varying presentations
- Post graduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (highly desirable)

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
