About the role
Greenslopes Private Hospital currently has an opportunity for a Medical Officer to join our existing team of doctors to provide clinical care of patients in the Medical Units. Depending upon the experience of the successful applicant, the appointment may be at PHO or registrar level.
The Principal House Officer/ Registrar will see a wealth of medical and surgical pathology managed by senior clinicians.
Working closely with the VMOs and nursing team, duties include attending for the ongoing care of all patients under the care of the respective team you are allocated. You will gain opportunities to be exposed to learning and supervision from the following specialties –
- Infectious Diseases
- Endocrinology
- Gastroenterology
- Geriatric Medicine
- General Medicine
- Oncology
- Coronary Care Unit CCU
This role plays an important part in supporting admissions, discharges and task resulting from the daily ward round. The role rotates through day and night shifts (during the CCU rotation).
About you
- To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a broad spectrum of patients.
- You will also have exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The flexibility to handle a rotating roster through 12hour day and night shifts.
You will also bring
- Current General registration with AHPRA
- Current clinical experience in Australia as PGY4 or above
- Demonstrated skills and clinical knowledge to manage a broad spectrum of presentations including medical and surgical patients
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
