About the Role

Join the Keith Payne Unit (KPU) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of Veterans. The KPU is a 31-bed Mental Health Unit with an Inpatient Ward, Day Centre, and Outpatient Clinic, dedicated to providing exceptional care to the Veteran community.

We are seeking a Social Worker with mental health experience to deliver trauma-informed care, supporting patients and their families through individual therapy, group programs, and case management.

 

About You

You are a passionate and dedicated clinician with experience in mental health assessment, evidence-based treatment, and recovery-focused care. You have strong case management skills, and experience supporting individuals facing financial stress.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Social Work
  • Eligible for Membership with relevant professional association (AASW). 
  • Clinical experience in mental health and/or hospital setting.
  • Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Clinical skills and experience in providing mental health assessment and evidence-based treatments for mental health (individual and/or group facilitation).
  • Demonstrated practical skills in case management, liaising with stakeholders, discharge planning and community referral.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and customers.
  • Accurate and timely completion of administration and documentation requirements.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Group facilitation skills.
  • Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
  • Specialised knowledge of the needs of the Veteran community and mental health legislation.
  • Post-graduate qualification.

 

Renumeration:  $42.57 - $58.05 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
