National Site Operations Manager – Ramsay Research Network
Ramsay Health Care | Research & Development
Full Time
Ramsay Health Care is Australia’s largest private hospital operator, with over 70 hospitals, clinics and day surgery units, admitting more than one million patients annually. As part of its commitment to advancing healthcare beyond direct patient care, Ramsay has established a robust Research Network through the Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation. Our network spans some 16–20 dedicated clinical trial units across multiple states, underpinned by standard operating procedures, consistent governance and a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, ethically governed research that improves patient outcomes and strengthens healthcare delivery.
At Ramsay Health Care, we are committed to excellence in clinical care and research that changes lives. The Ramsay Research Network is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced National Site Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of our Clinical Trials & Research Sites across Australia.
About the Role
As the National Site Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Clinical Trials & Research Sites, ensuring they consistently deliver high-quality services to Principal Investigators, sponsors, hospital executives and other stakeholders. Working closely with the Director of Research & Development and the Business Development Manager, you will drive operational performance, compliance and stakeholder engagement across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support site-based Clinical Trials & Research Managers to ensure all sites are high-performing, compliant and aligned with Ramsay values.
- Oversee implementation of SOPs, policies and accreditation requirements across all sites.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Principal Investigators, hospital executives, sponsors and industry partners.
- Manage budgets, contracts, invoicing and service agreements in partnership with Finance.
- Provide leadership, KPIs and performance support to site teams across multiple geographies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of clinical trial activities at both site and network levels.
- Promote a positive culture of continuous improvement, quality and ethical research practices.
About You
This is a broad and high-impact leadership role that spans 25 hospital-based clinical trial sites nationally, each with its own Clinical Trials & Research Manager and team. You’ll bring the ability to balance strategy with hands-on problem solving, ensuring consistency and high standards across the network while supporting local needs. Some interstate travel (around once per month) is required to engage with site teams, hospital executives and stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Provide confident leadership across large, complex, multi-site operations.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing all aspects of operations, including a basic knowledge of best-practice HR principles, employee engagement, finances, and vendor/industry partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with doctors, sponsors, hospital executives and industry partners.
- Work effectively with hospital-based services, IT and local site operations, while partnering with the national research team.
- Deliver consistency across a diverse network by ensuring clear communication, governance and alignment to Ramsay’s values.
- Bring previous experience in a clinical trials environment.
What’s in it for you?
- An extensive benefits package that recognises and rewards your valuable contributions, while supporting your overall well-being.
- Enhance your career trajectory through a wealth of professional development initiatives and clearly defined pathways for advancement, empowering you to realise your full potential within our organisation.
- Enjoy access to a premier rewards platform that offers exceptional discounts and privileges from renowned retailers, enriching your lifestyle both personally and professionally.
- Embrace the opportunity to drive transformative change in the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, making a significant contribution to the evolution of our industry for the better.
