John Flynn Private Hospital are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic highly organised Registered Nurse to join our supportive team as a Clinical Nurse Educator on Permanent Part-Time basis. 3 days a week/48 hours a fortnight.
About the Role
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Staff Development Manager, this exciting role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the mandatory and non-mandatory training programs and in-services.
In this role, you will work across the following departments: Medical Cardiac Services - 5A, Surgical Cardiac Services - 5B and our Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
About You
We are seeking a candidate with a strong clinical background with a demonstrated ability to educate and lead others to achieve results. This opportunity will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Your positive attitude, ability to prioritise, delegate and adapt, along with your excellent time management skills are all of critical importance for this role.
You will also bring
• Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
• A minimum of 5 years post registration experience, plus 4 years experience in a relevant specialty area
• Post Graduate qualifications in Cardiac nursing
• Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment / Post graduate qualification in Education (or working towards)
• Expert computer literacy in all Microsoft programs
• Completion of a Preceptorship Program (Desirable)
• ALS assessor qualifications (Desirable)
Remuneration
$58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Registered Nurse - Level 2 Year 4)
