About the opportunity

The primary purpose of the Electrical Supervisor is to organise/supervise all electrical inspections, maintenance and repairs on QUBE’s Fixed Equipment and Mobile Fleet. This role is to co-ordinate the day to day electrical activities of the Pilbara Ports Authority Utah Point Bulk Handling Facility. 

*This is a Residential role only*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegate tasks to direct reports or subcontractors in line with skill, knowledge and ability and where necessary identify skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Ensure direct or contractor reports comply with Company’s and PPA policies and procedures before work is carried out.
  • Ensure compliance on all Statutory obligations relating to section 5 of the Mine Safety Inspection Regulations and/or relevant Legislative obligations
  • Organise, supervise and/or conduct electrical maintenance work carried out on the Atlas Iron owned Stockyard 2 outload fixed equipment at the Utah Point Facility
  • Ensure all completed electrical work pertaining to Statutory obligations are submitted to PPA for their records
  • Organise and supervise electrical work carried out on the RSS (11 in total), Mobile Plant equipment and Ancillary equipment at the Utah Point Facility.
  • Ensure maintenance information is recorded and retained for future reference and auditing purposes.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years Electrical maintenance experience in Fixed Plant and Mobile Plant Mining equipment
  • Prior experience in administration of digital maintenance systems
  • Electrical fitter/mechanic trade certificate – “A” Grade WA Endorsed
  • High Voltage ticket - Essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards
  • Deliver effective electrical decisions to ensure plant reliability and operability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
