THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Yard Coordinator is to coordinate is to coordinate all yard operations at the Wharf.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordination of trucks
• Monitor and document containers going on and off vessels at wharf
• Loading and unloading of offshore containers, freight, special equipment etc.
• Load restraint
• Stuffing and de-stuffing of containers
• Dogman for crane if required
• Housekeeping of the yard area
• Ensuring compliance of all yard procedures
• Inspection and maintenance of containers, slings and lifting equipment
• Housekeeping of yard area

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• High risk forklift ticket
• High risk dogman ticket
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation relating to load restraints
• Demonstrated experience handling dangerous goods
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
