About the role
Position: Shipping Container Surveyor
Location: Outer Harbor, SA
Status: Full Time
Duties
- Determine if containers are suitable to be used as is for cargo
- Identify any repairs required
- Complete blow outs/sweep and marking each container to identify correct status/grade
About You
- Experience working with shipping containers would be an advantage, but not essential
- Inspection experience, IICL will be an advantage, but not essential
- Forklift ticket will be an advantage but not essential
- AO Accreditation preferred, but not essential
- Good communication skills
- Own transport and current driver’s license
- Ability to use electronic devices to record/store container data
- Positive safety attitude
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A
- Previous experience in an Empty Container Depot will be looked upon favorably
