The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the well-established Qube team in Moranbah. This role forms an integral part of the operations team, working alongside the Operations Manager & Supervisors, overseeing workshop operations in an effective, collaborative & compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety: Zero harm, safety performance, compliance, safety leadership
- People: Productive, aligned and engaged work crews, training and development
- Operational Excellence: Effective utilisation of resources (labour and equipment); Continuous improvement of Operational Processes.
- Compliance: Oversee completion of driver inductions and that they are conducted effectively. Permits and licenses are valid and maintained, total adherence to site and company regulations.
- Safety Leadership: Manage operators safely through their shift; pre-start checks processes including TRAMS / JSA are adhered to at all times, monitor and manage fatigue. Deliver against safety management plans and manage adherence within the team.
- Incident Investigation: Support Operations Manager & Supervisor in conducting effective, high quality incident investigations. Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions
- Accountability & Performance: Team member’s accountabilities and responsibilities are understood, and employees are delivering to expectation. Address performance issues within the team (with Operations Manager & Supervisor support).
Qualification & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Current Forklift License
- Current Unrestricted HR License (or higher)
- Current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Prior working experience in a Leading Hand position or similar
- Prior experience with Handling Bulk and Packaged Dangerous Goods
- Experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry
- Experience in leading a team
- Understanding of safety and compliance practices and regulations in logistics industry including chain of responsibility
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Must be clean-shaven
