The Opportunity

We have a new and challenging opportunity arise for an experienced Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our team in Gladstone, FIFO out of Brisbane.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Training and assessing of various mobile plant and equipment
  • Verification of Competency Assessments
  • Mainly working with MC Drivers & Machine Operators 
  • Facilitation of classroom-based Safety Training and Inductions 
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision 
  • Well organised and excellent time management skills with strong attention to details 
  • Hands on approach to teamwork, positive attitude and superior customer service skills are essential 
  • Administrative and scheduling duties as required:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment 
  • Various mobile plant and equipment Permit to Work system Isolations and Tagging 
  • Facilitation of Inductions for Mining 
  • Standard 11 and CBM
  • Experience delivering relevant and engaging training to a diverse range of students
  • Excellent communication skills & Strong organisational skills
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use all programs within the Microsoft suite
  • High level of professionalism and punctuality
  • Passion and commitment to high quality education and training
  • Must be flexible to travel
