ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Multi-Combination (MC) Truck Driver is to safely and efficiently operate MC trucks as used by Qube as part of its operations. Both Local and Linehaul transport opportunities available!
Specific Responsibilities
- Efficient operation of the site’s vehicles
- Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the preparation and signing of cartage dockets and service requests)
- Follow appropriate company procedures
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
- Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
- Ensure compliance with all Main Roads Heavy vehicle operating guide lines
- Ensure compliance with fatigue management
- Ensure compliance with loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle specific permits
Qualifications and Experience
- Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s license
- Forklift ticket
- Appropriate license class for any other vehicles operated
- Experience in driving heavy bulk vehicles and other machinery as used by Qube
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to work well within a small team environment

- Good driving skills for heavy haulage trucks
- Good skills in operating other equipment used by Qube
- Sound communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Customer focused and responsive to customer requirements
