About the Role:
Permanent position available for an experienced Mechanical Operator. You will be working within a 24/7 shift environment with opportunities to diversify and broaden your skills. You will get the opportunity to work in varied roles within the grain industry and work with a team with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
The position will be required to demonstrate a flexible attitude and perform a variety of duties. The position will be a shared role between the Maintenance and Operations departments and will be on a rotating day/night shift basis.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker qualifications
- Industrial installation and fault-finding experience
- Flexibility to work day/ night shift
- Previous experience in heavy industry
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong approach to safety, problem solving and decision making
The following qualifications and skills are desirable but not essential for the successful candidate:
- Previous experience in the grain industry or similar materials handling environment
- MSIC
- EWP over 11 metres license
- Working at Heights training
- Confined Space Standby or Entry training
- Rail Industry Safety Induction
- Forklift license
- Front end loader experience
- Dogging and rigging training
- First aid training
- Fire warden and emergency response training
