THE ROLE
We are looking for hardworking individuals who are seeking shift work in Port Kembla. Specific duties include loading and discharging general and bulk cargoes. Commodities handled include motor vehicles, machinery, steel products, containers, project cargo and bulk cargo.
Roles to be filled: 60
CRITICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Fit, able and willing for manual work
- Hold a current manual driver’s license - essential
- Commitment and willingness to achieve superior work performance
- Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card
- Flexibility to work shifts over a 7 day, 24 hour period
- Availability to attend work at short notice
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Reliability to perform routine tasks without supervision
- Forklift licence – desirable
- Experience in slinging loads – dogman ticket desirable
- Ability to work at heights – training in this area highly regarded

THE ROLE
We are looking for 76 individuals seeking shift work at the Port of Melbourne. Specific duties for this role will include loading and discharging general and bulk cargoes, operating machinery, shipboard and wharf duties and basic clerical tasks. These operations specialise in loading and discharging general and bulk cargoes. Commodities handled include motor vehicles, machinery, steel products, containers, project cargo and bulk cargo.
The successful applicant will need to be prepared to work an irregular shift pattern with 24/7 availability and no set roster.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Manual driver’s licence required
- High Risk License in Forklift, Dogging, Crane (highly regarded)
- Trade Qualification (highly regarded)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
