The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an accomplished HR Advisor to join our team based in Sydney. In this role you will provide general HR support to the business across a range of People & Culture activities. This role is required to be a main point of contact and support for Operations Managers in the Ports business.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on HR issues, including employee relations, workplace conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and HR procedures and policies.
- Develop and implement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture in line with the organisation’s vision, mission, and values.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on HR data to support operational decision making.
- Provide critical insights and trends to management, achieved through analysis of HR data and metrics (internal and external)
- Provide timely accurate reporting to provide data insights to support operational decisions (Manning report, employee movements report, terminations report).
Qualification & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Degree qualified in Human Resources, or Business-related disciplines.
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations and regulatory environment
- Knowledge of HR systems and practices
- At least 2 years working experience in a similar role
- Experience in HR in a blue-collar environment
- Strong internal customer relationship skills
- Strong communication and team approach
- Exemplary organisational skills and attention to detail
