What's the role?
We are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced SHS Advisor to join the Qube team within our Midwest region located at our Geraldton Operation.
The role will support local and site-based projects and provide WHS leadership to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements for health and safety.

Specific Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Assist with the coordination of all functional safety issues including risk assessments, systems development and the maintenance of relevant records and reports
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits, implement improvement plans where any gaps are identified
- Participate in incident investigation processes
- Ensure site compliance with all OHS and mining legislation
- Develop safe work instructions as required in consultation with subject matter experts
- Drive culture change from the ground up on operating standards, risk awareness and safety culture
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing
- Ensure corrective and preventative actions are identified and monitored for closure within allocated timeframe
- Undertake audits to verify compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements, client requirements and company procedures
To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:
- Certification IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Lead ICAM Certificate
- C Class Drivers Licence
- First Aid certificate
- Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing HLTPAT005 (desirable)
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
- Advanced skills with Microsoft word and excel
- Adaptability and flexibility essential
- Have an ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
